Keds Spring 2012 apparel line
I was graciously invited to the Keds Spring 2012 footwear and apparel preview party at The Blue Plate in San Francisco last week. This was my first glimpse at their new collection hitting stores very soon. First thoughts, fresh and fun! I have to admit I haven’t bought Keds since I was a young girl. I do remember, however, that I lived in their shoes. They were the perfect every day shoe and still are. It was nice to see a new fun side of Keds with their Spring 2012 footwear containing a variety of fun upbeat patterns and colors, from checkers to stripes to glimmers.

The Blue Plate restaurant, where the party was held, was a quaint cute place near Bernal Heights. Their appetizers were amazing, their beet or d’oeuvre was my favorite! Along with the delicious food was a watercolor artist painting pictures of each guest wearing their choice of Spring 2012 apparel. All in all, the event was a success. I was able to meet an awesome group of Keds brand executives, dine on delicious appetizers, while “oo-ing” and “awe-ing” over their new collection. Take a look at the fun pictures I shot at the event below! Enjoy!

It’s officially Spring and you know what the means, time to show off some leg and some of your favorite spring shoes. Last week I graced the floor of Saks Fifth Avenue’s Shoe Shopping Wonderland, an event touring the hottest spring shoe trends and styles available at Saks. Elizabeth Varnell, San Francisco style director, showcased Christian Louboutins, Jimmy Choos, Prada, and many more high-end designers.
White wine and petite hors d’œuvre’s were served while ladies tried on various spring styles from their favorite designers. If your box contained a golden ticket you were eligible to win cosmetics, subscriptions, or a gift card towards the purchase of the shoes themselves. I scored a 1 year subscription to San Francisco Magazine by trying on the lovely pair of Christian Louboutin spiked heels above. They were hands down the best pair of heels in the room.
All-in-all it was a wonderful show! Sak’s did a great job of helping promote all the amazing designers they have to offer. I do need a pair of those heels though. In due time…in due time.
